2010 Kiowa Gourd Clan Schedule

Here is the Kiowa Gourd Clan schedule for 2010:
Jan. 17, Cedaring Ceremony, noon, AOA Center, Kiowa Tribal Complex.
Feb.6, First Benefit Dance, HS...Mike Topaum, MCs....Dawes Twohatchet & Cy Ahtone, Honorees....Milton and Gloria Noel.
Mar. 6, Second Benefit Dance, Headstaff pending,
Apr. 3, Third Benefit Dance, Headstaff pending,
May, 1, Fourth Benefit Dance, Headstaff pending. All benefits begin at 2:00pm, supper break @ 5:30pm, evening session @ 7:00pm. These are all gourddance programs, conducted under Kiowa gourd dance protocals. All benefits to be held at Red Buffalo Hall, Kiowa Tribal Complex, Carnegie Ok. Security provided. No drugs or alcohol allowed. No vendors.
All proceeds to benefit the Kiowa Gourd Clan Celebration on July 2, 3, & 4, 2010 at the Carnegie City Park.
Also Clean Up Day will be June 19, at the Carnegie City Park.

Kiowa Gourd Clan Feb. Benefit Cancellation

The Kiowa Gourd Clan Benefit scheduled for February 6, has been cancelled. The Benefit has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 6 2010. The same head staff will be in charge. Southwest Oklahoma was hit pretty hard by last weeks icestorm, several communities are still without power. And due to the wide spread damage, power may not be restored for several weeks. Carnegie had partial power restored yesterday. Please keep the Kiowa Communities in prayer.
