  • Grass

According to old photographs, oral history and scholarly writings, some tribes used actual grass when they participated in the grass dance ceremony.

Do any of you dance with sweet grass?
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

Don't know his name, but saw an older guy grass dancing with two sticks wrapped with sweetgrass braids in a spiraling pattern along the length of the stick.
