    Thanks for the help :)
I think I'll make the rosette/headband for him as a gift as his mom is trying to find work right now and find him a daycare and his dad works nights.

I've seen someone use a thick sheet or fabric tablecloth and cut the fringe out if that.

Ribbon and or yarn is pretty cheap as far as fringe material goes also there are several tutorial threads on here with instructions on how to get the fringe right.

You could also order a pattern kit for like $10 online but you have to know how to scale the cuts.

How much of the outfit do you plan to make? Are you also considering doing bead-work or just going to stick with applique for the designs.

For the little ones I use plastic tablecloth for fringe, it comes in many colours and very cheaper than ribbon with same effect. A good set might include a headband with rosette instead of a roach, a pair of aprons and a yoke, fringed pants, cuffs. Maybe a harness thingy if you have time to. Keep in mind they'll always be growing, so don't do anything too extensive! And Always double up your fringe!! Some bouncer plumes might look nice too if he can take care of them, as well as a jingle bell set

My question is what is easier ribbon or yarn to sew on a shirt and the bottom part (like a brech clot). I want to use the yarn but i like the way the ribbon moves. Yarn is cheaper too. And i don't...
