How much material do I need to make a grass dancers belt and what kind should I use?

Depends on how wide the belt will be, How long does it have to be? (to go around the waist), and is it applique or beadwork?
I'm using a 3" wide belt but I have a 30" waist so I didn't have to use as much fabric as I figured I'd needed. As for material, I used either polyester or a mix (don't remember really) and just attached the beadwork by hand sewing on.
Unless, you're talking about a belt to hold the aprons.... Then I totally missed the mark.
