  • So what's the story with...

...crowns on roaches? You know those beaded pieces that look like a princess' crown that is worn in front of the roach.
    Thanks.

I know nothing about it, I know it is not a bug but I do not know what it is.

I've seen a few. If you look in the archives we've had a couple discussions on them. They are crowns, the same as women wear, just smaller. I've seen some beaded and others painted.

              GJudd,

Its a trend that "contemporary dancers" have incorporated into their regalia.

(contemporary = the same guys that paint their faces like professional wrestlers). *L

I dont know if this is the perfect place to put this but.. I have recently noticied a few dancers (northern trad and one chicken) with these little beaded crown dealies on the front of their roach... Have I just not ever noticied them before? or is this a new thing?
                                Just curious what they are...

                                roach beading

I'm a northern traditional dancer. I'm seeing more and more beading on the front of roaches and I can't figure out what is used for the backing on the beaded frontal crown. Or is it being beaded into the frontal guard hair itself? Help me out sombody?

                                roach problem
                                by mexicadancer1
I have a small problem, I think I wrapped my roach around my roach stick wrong, because now all the hair on my roach is bent and messed up. Does anybody here know what I should do? Sombody told me that I should soak my roach then shape the hair before it dries. Do you think this would work?...
