old style bustle

Hello!

is there anybody out there who know how to make an old style round bustle. even the ones with a lot of different feathers. i've seen them on many photos. i would appreciate your answers.

Whispering Wind #4 did articles on all three types of old style bustles: crow belt, messy, and pheasant. For the messy or nest bustle, the feathers are attached in circles that get put one on top the other. The person who taught me said that you want at least five circles but no more than 9. Each circle should have feathers all the same size and dyed the same color. Also you want to dye the feathers 4-5 different colors. The Whispering Wind article is very good and I suggest you get it 'caus it explains it alot better that I could.
