Good Afternoon everyone, I've browsed this board may times but I haven't seen much info on my cultural dances. So to get the ball rolling what do the rest of you think about smoke dances as competition at many powwows up hear in the NY/NJ area?

I'm new to the board...I know from searching previous threads that there have been similar threads in the past dealing with non-natives who go and dance at pow-wows. what is your thoughts on drug use at powwows? We all know it happens! A LOT of powwow people indulge in drug use at and during powwows but we all look the other way and bury our heads in the sand. Stoned dancers and drummers is all right? and why do you tolerate it, or oppose it?
