            Howdy people;
            I have been reading and thinking alot about lost culture and traditions. I just wanted to share some good news. July 12th was camping day for the Arikara Celebration. As a part of these activities they had a hand drum contest. I would guess there must have been about 20 three...

            Drums that sell CDs at powwows
            by billyjoejimbob
            What is the average price you have seen or bought a cd from a drum at a powwow?

            How does that work? I once heard that the record company gives them a bunch of free cds and whatever is sold thru trading posts or online goes to the company. or the company gets a cut.

I have been to a pow wow where a drum was there for all drum roll calls with their full crew for the whole weekend and singing excellent but didn't place at all. But another drum missed a roll call, missed...
