Okay, I admit I have been out of the loop the past year so who is Angelo Normand? Where does he dance? I have seen alot of new dancers in the straight dance category so maybe I have seen him and just don't know it. Any pics? I am a straight dance fan, so I would like to see this "trend setting" set of dancers.
I am thankful for my grandparents, my parents, my brothers, my aunties and uncles, my children, my companion and all of those who influenced me to be strong and proud of being who I am and where I come from. Knowledge is power

                      Straight Dancing

I just want to say that straight Dancing in a very simple form of Dancing. You are looking for tracks or hunting in a war party. I was told that is what you are trying to dance. The style is getting away from the real meaning. It is a very slow and graceful moves. No jumping up and down, or slde step from one direction to another, and you don't move back. It is a foward movement. anyway thats all.

                      Andrew.

You know all this talk about how is is the newest thing out is the way the European culture thinks, it not Indian. The teachings from my elders are to not change things, don't add, or take away. Follow you will get good out it. Like straight dancing just follow. Even if the judges don't pick ya because you are not doing the newest thing out follow your heart and teachings. that will go on for a long time.

That was nicely put uphillforrest. I've heard the same thing told to my brothers. The "new generation" dancers are too showy! Some of these guys should stop skipping around the arena like race horses or change to fancy dance!!! Where is the dignified way of dancing gone.
