Made me proud!

This weekend my family and I were at a powwow and something happened to make me feel extremely proud. I just wanted to share this special little act with you. . .

I have a daughter that is 8-years old. At times she can be pretty selfish and self indulging in her young behavior.

We were at a powwow this weekend and she was given a handful of money for dancing during her exhibition.

Without blinking an eye, she took this money and on her own, placed it on the drum that sang for her exhibition.


I was soooo proud of her for knowing the right thing to do - on her own.

a little tear came to my eye as her proud father and I said to myself,

"Yes. . . This is what it's really ALL about!"

I saw a kid do that on their own a few months back, and you know what? When I went over to talk to their parents there was a line of people congratulating them and giving them gifts for the kid........

Congrats whome, I know adult dancer that wouldnt have been as proper..
