Why don't drums carry their own song files on a good laptop, and sell downloads directly at powwows?
Most fans deal in cash.....and don't always have credit cards or good internet at home...
Well, I guess if the drum is under contract with a "record label" then selling the files directly might not be legal

There needs to be some incentive too. Lot's of drum groups have hooked me up with their CD/s and Itunes cards. I am now their fan! ... Well some of the drums at least!Leave a comment:

What is the average price you have seen or bought a cd from a drum at a powwow?
How does that work? I once heard that the record company gives them a bunch of free cds and whatever is sold thru trading posts or online goes to the company. or the company gets a cut.

Being on the east coast, I have seen my share of strange things at powwows. Since Im a singer, I will focus on THE DRUM.
There are a bunch of strange drums in the east. You know who Im talking about. Those drums that sing and hit the drum but you dont know if its northern or southern....03-22-2006, 08:57 AM -
What is everyone's opinion of drum hoppers? I don't like it when they just set in without asking or join in right in the middle of a song. I won't tolerate this with my new drum group.
