Tha Singer OR Tha Group

OK now we all can say we like that groups akaa drum group but do you think it because of the group or the singer leading the group.. if anybody has something too say just let out on this thread...ya hear

Complicate something simple......

Depends on the group of dudes at the drum. Sometimes a group could be a group of lead singers. Old school pros who all have a jam they want to blast. That's when the lead takes command of his drum. Sometimes it could be a bunch of rookies confused and dazed at all the colors of the pow-wow. All of a sudden, BAM! Next song. Whistle. Whatever. I guess i will have to say a good drum needs a good lead singer to captain the drum. Someone to have final say and override any disputes. someone who will know what song, have many songs, and can blast like a foghorn. Also who will take all the drum money and not distribute the drum money fairly. ha ha ha!!!!!!

The singer. I recently have stepped back from actual drumming, but I still sing with the local drumgroup. Occasionally, I'm forced to sing a lead because the drumkeeper either cannot remember the lead or cannot sing the lead correctly. I encourage others to learn the leads, but honestly I'm working with some people that either don't come to all drum practices or cannot retain anything your teach them. It is getting better and I always encourage people to try the leads, even when they mess up; I'll sing it correctly for them, and then make them attempt it again. Anyhow, thats what practice is for and I love dancing much better anyhow. I figure if I can help others learn the leads correctly, I will get more dancing in.

No not the adult diapers.....It does take a good lead to control things though....Tempo, beat, and on and on....Set the pace so to speak....Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't? So we all have good and bad days.....1 guy can't do it alone though...(geez that sounded rugged) you need a good core group to make it right....So in a nutshell it's a lil of both....There are many singers out there who run a tight ship, so to speak....Some....well the ship tends to sink....It sure isn't easy though....Takes a whole lot of patience....

First of all the singers must show respect for one another and then all of the teachings each one singer has put them together and everything will work out the way it is intended. all the voices gathered around the drum make the music and dancer dance and people happy to hear them cool voices.
