        Redstone Ojibway

I'd have to say that this drum group is off to a pretty solid start.... i've seen them this summer, and they have some pretty awesome songs!!! Majority of the time they have kinda small crew, but they still kick out the jams, and they have had a pretty successful summer from what i hear!!!!

            Ykb Baby!!!!!

Young Kingbird easily, we rock over all those fools!! Representin' Minnesota's finest. Pipestone was dope before, but now I always see them with a 1/2 *** crew, their my boys though.

              Upcoming Drum Groups!!!!!

All these drums are from the states.. No offence, but they are all good drum groups on they're way up, but from ontario, i'd have to root for REDSTONE OJIBWAY!! They have had a successful summer with they're competition powwows, and i think these fella's will be climbing up the ladder pretty quick! I don't think they travelled out there yet, but when they do i think they'll blow up hard!!!!! They sing mostly straight songs from what i hear, but they sing them wicked, and they sound wicked.....

That guy Herb has got some smooth leads!!
(& North Bear can rock tha round dance jamz!) Jermaine n them are gettin up there also...can't wait for ur CD's to come out.
Well propz to whoever gets out to travel and get their sound heard and noticed. They're all good groups in their own way!

A favorite subject of mine. I love to see groups come out of left field and rock a pow-wow like it was nobody's business and hardly anyone knows where they come from.

There are groups that are establishing themselves these days, but I wanna talk about the groups that are just getting off...

I noticed that there are alot of powwows on the eastern seaboard from Florida up to Maine. I was just wondering if there is a need for these powwow committees to expand their knowledge of drum groups who are willing to travel and attend their powwows. Its just that I've noticed alot of the same drums...

i just heard a youth singing group this past week-end played on our local ndn radio station klnd. this group of singers consist of 4th & 5th grade boys from the standing rock elementary school. these boys really impressed me. sang some good straight songs plus they also sang some traditional lakota...

Being on the east coast, I have seen my share of strange things at powwows. Since Im a singer, I will focus on THE DRUM.

There are a bunch of strange drums in the east. You know who Im talking about. Those drums that sing and hit the drum but you dont know if its northern or southern....
