There are a few good ones here on the east coast. The only one I know of that is trying to go further is Edisto River Singers. They are trying to make a cd so they can get a van for the group to travel more on the coast and further like to out west. There are other groups out here but I am not that familiar with them as I am to ERS. I just see them at pow wows around here and have not problems with any of them. I personally like everyone. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!!!!

I heard SizzarTail this summer and they rocked, did not have the chours line I was used to them having but still sounded awsome. I sang with Poor Boys for a day down in Mississippi, nice guys and they can rock. They know the classics too.
But I still loved to hear Cozads and Bad Medicne. As for YellowJacket they were always to low and I never really like there sound. Now as for this Cricketthill never heard them, hope to find them sometime, cause I am from the mid-west.....TMSIf I do not know the answer someone else will!!!!
Also forgive me, this system does not have a spell check so forgive the bad spelling

I've heard of two good up and coming southern groups. They are Southern Gravey and NDN Avenue. These two groups mostly stick out to the midwest and southwest. Watch southern drums these guys could blow you away!!!!!!
Its like my friend Sammy says "Stick to the basics, just stick to the basics"

At any rate, I've listened to...-

I'm a southern singer, it's in my bones. I'm alright, decent voice, good volume and a good stick, but I still got a lot to learn.
Just like Hatori Hanzo in the movie "Kill Bill", I have exeptional skill in creating the tools of my trade. I can say with no ego that the sticks...-
