Some people just don't get it!

I'm tired of the bickering. The simple fact of the matter is that I'm gonna do some things you're not gonna agree with and I'm sure there are others just as there are some out here that will do things I do not agree with. Or understand for that matter.

Why not try spending our time on offering some insightful help towards those who could use the uplift or even starting threads that would be a beneficial piece to the education of our people? No need to feed into the "crab" and continue to pull our fellow brothers and sisters down.

At any rate...its not our place to comment on this. We should leave this up to the Elders.

Seeing as how there are very few elders on Powwows.com, I say we start to actually speak our minds in an intelligible manner.

I have read through this entire thread and I have seen some repeat haters pop up on it...go figure.

Check out my SKIN SPECULATION POLL and THREAD in POW WOW Talk. The whole reason I started that thread was to discuss the stuff that everybody always brings up anyway. Check it out.

This is the most truthful post I've seen all year!! Just sad to see people tear others down ALL THE TIME...dang...isn't anyone ever genuinely happy for anyone else? Just curious.

well congrats to both winners of both categories anyways ... and yes no one is ever totally happy with the outcome of any contest where ever it is

as for havin a celebration afterwards (and i've attended a couple myself (of other drum groups) and have seen pix of others .. lol) ... they are grown adult men doing adult things and no one got hurt (well maybe a couple hangovers .. lol). if that makes them dirtbags in some ppl's opinions so be it ...

To me, it doesnt matter how good a singer you are, if you are a dirtbag when you arent singing, I dont want to know you. Been duped many times by people I respected.
I agree that it DOES matter that people are out partying, fighting around, getting drunk, high, whatever. Heck, I'm not saying don't go out and have a beer or two, but come on. Some drums, and I'm not pointing at any drum specifically, have NO respect. They come in wearing big ol' baggy shorts, ball caps, tank shirts. They PRACTICE their next song when another drum is singing, or worse, when some elder is praying. It's rugged. Man, if you have to 'practice' your singing, then I've forgotten more songs than you know! LOL!! I was taught that you should dress your best, be on your best behavior, take care and respect your grandpa drum. Those ways are falling fast. I wish the ol' men would get up and get after all of these punks that call themselves drum groups. Like I said, it's not every drum, but I'm sure each of you can think of one that I just described.

    Hey powwow committee!

Why don't you just invite the certain dancers, drums, and head staff that you want to pay?

If you look in your program booklet you see the same dancers names every year since 95. It's gets a little lame. Sure they are great dancers but there are other...

Went to my first PowWow yesterday, (Saturday). Thought I'd tell you all what I thought about it. It was in TN, and I'm not going to say exactly where, because I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings in case they are on here too, but I must say that I was a bit disappointed. Part of that may have been...
