          Red Blanket:

I heard Austin moved to Oklahoma City and works for the IHS regional office. Since moving there, he had an operation and is recovering.

However, Austin still considers Cedar Tree his drum of choice.
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

I dunno if this is their next one but they'll be at Quentin Veterans Day PowWow on Nov 8-9. Midnite Express and Stoney Creek will also be there.

Thanks for the update on Austin. I sang with him at gathering a couple of times.

                    -------------

                    Red Blanket:

I may have met you at the Gathering. Last year is the first time I have ever missed it. But I have been going since it began!

I met Austin and Michael Rose on one of those dance tours to Holland. Since then, I have had a pretty good relationship with Cedar Tree. Last year I sat next to Michael at the center drum at a powwow in Maryland. I also sang with Cedar Tree one year in Oklahoma (Stroud).

Cedar Tree are friendly guys and good singers.

Thanks for the compliment. ;) Good to know the hater-ade continues to flow freely.

Hey, no ganging up here! Not fair. ;)

I do take exception with the take on Cedartree, though, particularly when it's unsolicited. But I guess we all have to live with opinions, even (imho) slightly misinformed ones.
