Hasnt been a new thread posted on this forum in awhile so I took it upon myself to do one, not the basic whos good and what drum group blah blah blah....but maybe some crazy singing stories. Like this one time I was at a powwow and Howard Cozad was head singer and wanted me to start a song for the womens cloth contest, powwow was huge and I came out with a loud A** lead, halfway through the lead I forgot the song....then said real loud....NEVErMind. I was embarrased...I got more...what about you?

dang dude.
back when I was singing northern, the group decided to sing the group song....well, we had sang the song w/ a tail on it before. as we got ready to go into the end....I started up to sing the tail and then stoped....sounded like a chicken gettin' strangled.....
I was the brunt of the joke for the rest of the pow wow.To get a true picture of your purpose in life, you only get the whole picture when you listen with your mind, your ears and your heart. This way The Creator has a direct connection with you and only you...no outside interference.
When you follow the will of IT that created you, understanding that your purpose is not for you...but for IT and all that IT has created, there can be no wrong except failure to be obedient. Only then do we jeopardize the gifts we are given.
Its not the final destination that defines us, rather the journey taken!

This way The Creator has a direct connection with you and only you...no outside interference.

I think every singer who ever went to Kinder has a "that one time at Kinder" story. LOL That's a fun pow wow. St. Croix, too....that Karaoke thing was crazy. My little sister said there were modern tee pee creepers at the casino hotel at ST.Croix, a few well known ones at that.LOL You go, knivvy!!!I am thankful for my grandparents, my parents, my brothers, my aunties and uncles, my children, my companion and all of those who influenced me to be strong and proud of being who I am and where I come from. Knowledge is power

After a while you develop a notch in your cheek where the cough drops or gum will sit perfectly.
There's this one guy that sings with us, and he has a drumstick head sewn onto his stick bag. Every time someone new sits at the drum, he has to tell the story about the "stick head that almost killed him, or at least made him sing with the ladies for the day" The bad thing is it was a stick he had made!!!
Now he beaded it up and carries it around like some kind of trophy! Right there hanging from the stick bag.....Last edited by Dawg Stylez; 03-23-2004, 03:40 PM.J~Dawg - the one and only!!!
