  • Any Missouri powwows??

Well i'm not sure who has been following but i have not posted any threads, or news on my progression from being in basic training. it's been a while, and i gradguated basic, and also tech school, and am now in my new base. i am in Whiteman AFB, in Missouri, and it's about 45 minutes away from Kansas City. I feel as though i am the only ndn here and i wanted to know if there was anyone else from Missouri and if there will be any powwows near by. Please help, i am soooo lonely, and in the middle of nowhere.
so far i like my job, i am being taken care of, and it's great.

Might try this site every now and then. This is where I found the Sedalia pw. One of the sponser of this site is called Whispering Winds - they always have a list of PW's posted in the store. Number is on the sponser page and they are located ove in Independence ( 45 minute drive).

Give me a PM some time. We live in Sedalia. My Wife is Lipan. We have a good friend in Springfield and he is White Mountain Apache.

I would like to invite you to our dance in Sedalia, July 16-18 at the Fair grounds.

Youcan also call the Heart of America Indian Center in KC. Haskell has dances and events throughout the year. Haskell is in Lawrence KS. Quapaw tribe is hosting a dance for the 4th of July weekend at Quapaw OK. This is just west of Joplin MO.

                by Violet Belle
Hi. I just joined this site tonight after being referred to it by the owner of a Native American group I am a member of on Facebook. I told the group about an encounter I had as a small child that involved Native American's and one of the things the owner suggested is that I attend a Powwow this year...
