well ya shoulda seen..couple of years ago...in a jingle dress special...they gave us a CHICKEN DANCE for the finals...we were all looking around like...WHA? haha..it was crazy....

Jingle dress double beat

My grandma was totalyl out raged when she saw that double beat. She was saying thats a healing dress and all that good stuff....I agree and hope it isn't goin to be a regular at contests and other pow-wows to come....

Last year at the San Bernardino, California, pow wow, they sang a double beat song for the northern traditional women. I think the only one who was really getting into the dancing was Amber Old Horn, because that's her style of dance. Anyway, they really surprised the women dancers when they started the double beat. I have seen some jinglers dance to a double beat but only during the honor beats. Hope this isn't the new trend.
