Would you rather prefer a back-up singer, a dancer, or what? Just wondering here! and ladies, what would you prefer?

well, the real and only reason i asked that was because there was a certain drum group that was asking the ladies those kind of questions and i just thought that it would be a pretty good question to ask. Honestly it shouldn't really matter. If you both do one or the other, you'll both be into powwows. It's when you're with someone who doesn't pow wow at all that causes problems to arise. When my hubby doesn't want to go I ask...."who will I get to two-step with me then?". Then he'll go! *L* It's hard when one of you dances at pow wows and the other one stomps (and likes to play ball in the summer), but you learn to compromise.

Shared interest is a good thing. I sing as a "regular" with one group, sit with another group from time to time, help out with a kids group in my hometown, and recently took over leading another kids group. For me, if a woman is NDN and likes powwows, those are just the basic "musts". If she's a dancer, that's great! But if she's a backup singer, we truly have a common interest.Comment
