Stone Mountain is North East of downtown ATL., GA. in Dekalb County, near lawrenceville and snellville, tucker.
it (St Mtn) should have it's own website some where

It's an awesome place for a pow wow

they set it up different last year, moved it around, a bit more space for everything.

It's cool to mildly warm during the day and cooler at night, plus its late fall early winter time,

just a good time by all
hoping to make it this year
can go to www.rthunder.com that is chipa's main website for all his festivals.........

and for those from other states it is the weekend before the Cherokee Youth Center Pow Wow in Cherokee,NC.
          Well will wonders never cease.....

                i went to this powwow

                hey,

The host drum was Buffalo Horse not Buffalo Heart. I didnt know there was a drum contest though. I guess they done it after i left early sunday after the honor songs. Over all I thought the powwow was excellent! A special thanks goes to the Arena Director who worked with me on saturday and sunday!
                thx,
                mike
