in March the Univ of Texas at Arlington...has a good dance...they try to have a good drum contest...and I heard this year...the AD is kinda cool....LOL

Kiyaanii Mom...yeah I hate those damned canopies! most of the time, at PWs I've been too...not even Shaquile O'Neal could have seen the dancing! Once at a PW in northern Ontario... one of the organizers asked me what I thought about the dancers/drum(s) and I had to tell her the truth...that I wouldn't know about the dancers...couldn't see any! I did hear (not see!) the drum and singers at least!
If I go there this year, I'm bringing stilts!!!!

Went pretty good! Kinda small, but not bad at all for a 3rd annual. Prarie Island and Square Top, a.k.a Cozad were producin good tunes all weekend. Tha tribe was there, well at least one teepee's worth. another southern drum-went under White Bear. Had pretty good dancers in each contest. Oh yeah, and snooker's was off the hook...lol

I heard the Narrogansett (sp?) powwow was pretty good last year. I did not go but it was reccomended for us to go this year. Does anyone know if it is going on? If so, what dates? Also, is there any more North East Powwows that are good ones to attend. We would be travelling...
