          Smokin',

          Great!

I have been to a dance before at Pembroke State several years back. I had a good dose of "Lum hospitality!" I left that powwow with good memories!

Actually, I also went to school with several Lumbees at BYU. I remember some of their last names: Lucas, Locklear, Oxendine and Bullard. I hope I get to see them there.

I look forward to hearing Youngbird and especially pipestone!

Yep - I actually work at "Pembroke State", which is now "University of North Carolina at Pembroke". And I am an Oxendine by marriage - so yeah - small world - can't wait to have so many folks here close to home.....

            Let's dance.....

hey..FYI...check out the thread "idiot insults drum" and see how someone is representing the Lumbee tribe. Think someone from his own ( if he's not BS) should set him straight!

i don't know what's up with that guy. i've encountered him on another board. from what i've heard he is in fact lumbee; that's not up for debate; but what turns people off is that his views are sometimes mixed up and/or radical
