Techno Dude! Yeah, we decided to go down south to Wa:K. I haven't been there in years it was nice to be back. BTW, we'll be hosting @ Wa:k next year.
Thanx for the invite to Chinle. See ya @ UofA!

yeah i noticed that they were sounding like the old tha tribe which is nice. i like that big sound and not soo much that battle river wanna be thing. every since last year with their cds and hosting duties i started to lose interest in them. hope that they keep it up. as for winning, i was diggin midnite more because they seemed better. i aint a groupie but they were alot stronger even though only half were singing and maybe that had something to do with them not.... well winning aint everything. i was glad to see alot of nice drums there. first rate singing i tell ya.thanks dad for showing me the way, teaching me the language, and not leaving my mother...*L*

Whatever happen to "not singing others songs without buying 'THE RIGHTS' first?"
There are many drums singing other drums songs, most not even of the same tribe, just hackin' the songs up badly.
I've asked a few where they got 'that song' and they were "...uhh...-

by TvskekeeBPlenty replied to a post in another thread and I think it merits its own topic so here it goes.
There are many drums out there who are "writing" songs without the proper knowledge of what they are doing and even worse, they are writing songs in languages they do not know....-

by n8tiveson79I have a couple of things to say and then a couple of questions.
Hau Koda!
I have been reading the different comments. I have a questions about who made up the term "old style"?
who defined the term?

by CelenaI'll start out by saying the usual things were good about this powwow: the drums and the dancers. It's them that ultimately make or break a powwow, for the most part. There were some really great specials and the dancers really put up a good competition. The weather was mild, and it was not unbearably...
