What I was told was that drums and adult categories were split Northern/Southern. Not sure about the money breakdown.

We've been after folks around here for years to split Northern/Southern. Glad they're finally going to give it a try.

I'm actually looking forward to powwow this year. Hope to see everyone there.

                Lumbee Pow-wow Events

That's right! :) Drums are split.

Also this year our youth are serving as tobacco free advocates at the pow-wow. So if they approach you with tobacco free materials- please accept them kindly. They are very excited about being involved and promoting healthy living for all of us!

After the Grand Entry on Saturday we will have a Tobacco Free Exhibition to include a Wellbriety Circle. Please encourage your friends and families to come out and dance. The Wellbriety Circle will celebrate those individuals who have remain clean from mind altering substances...and also for those that are just beginning their path to Wellbriety. I will be dancing for two years! :) So please don't be ashamed--come out and celebrate your strength!!

I am so proud of the powwow committee and everyone who has been involved to help advance our powwow this year. I am most confident that it will be a wonderful event and so happy that it's back out at the cultural center. I am very honored to have been asked to be the head lady at this event. Hope everyone will come out and join us!!!!

I havent been to this PW since 1998. I will try my hardest to come down- looks like a fun line up and some good singing. Is it indoors or out? Someone mentioned mosquitoes and but it says cultural center so I wasn't sure.
