Hello everybody, heres a topic for ya, don't know if its been done before, but here it goes. I would like to know what people think about intregrity and its place in powwows? Are we loosen it with all the boozN and partying after the powwow. Or when dancers compete knowing that they have an "informal/personal contact" on the powwow committee, or is apart of the headstaff. I know that there are some damn good dancers out there but showing up late or missing Grand Entries could be considered disrespectful?

I know not every Indian powwows and there are many Indians who do not go to powwows...-

The problem? The weather is unpredictable and the arbor does not have a roof. What are we gonna do if the pow-wow...

by seneca*oneQuick question...this has been bugging me... Are spot checks REALLY necessary during Intertribals? I've heard so many emcee's say that dancers should be out there dancing. I may be wrong, but I thought intertribals were just for fun, to "warm up", to get to know other natives/non natives....

by Lakota WiyanRecently, my family and I attended a powwow here in Rapid City, and just about went BROKE! Even the admission alone put us back over $100.00 for the weekend. Even my four year old, who slept most of the evening sessions, had to pay $9.75 for the weekend.
The concession stand in the...-
