Mr. Track was a very, very nice man. A man that held high regard to many of us. I have had the honor to have him as a part of our family, he will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Oddly enough, he left us during a big gathering in Tempe (ASU powwow) and we will bid our final farewell to him during an even bigger gathering (GON) where he was known to co-mc many times. My dearest regards to his boys and their families. To my lil’ cousin Colby, be strong boy and make your grandpa proud, hold your head up high – you are a Track. May the Creator watch over all of you while on the pow-wow circuit.

There will never be a MC like him. I always loved it when he said to the drums "ok your on the air!!!" or "2 starts on the flag and whatever gets us out". my drum was honored to sing a song for him at the powwow after they anounced his passing, they asked us to cuz our backupsinger was honored to know him. Miss ya the best MC ever!!

He was quite the funny guy too, always making people laugh at powwows. We were listening to him MC on our cd from Santa Ynez on our way to ASU and I was wondering about him, that night they announced his passing. It was a sudden and sad news for everyone. I'm sure he's in a far better place now. RIP. Condolences to his family.Fall down 7 times, get up 8. MY FAMOUS WORDS.

The Late Roy.
It feels weird even typing "The Late Roy." I feel like I could just quick dial him on my cell phone and he'd actually answer... but I know that's not the reality and I guess I'm saying I just feel numb... anyway, if you have a way to get a hold of the family then try to do so.... latest news I know: the Viewing will be Friday evening here in PHX., burial Saturday Morning, somewhere on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Reservation (Scottsdale basically for those that aren't familiar with Metro. PHX.)..... alright then........

Donations/Cards
FYI:
The family has requested cards/donations can be sent to the PO box, if you know the address, if not I'm sure they can be brought to the Memorial Hall on Friday or Services on Saturday, they are requesting donations in lieu of flowers, made to Nita Track.
Also, food can be brought to either the viewing or services, I think it will be needed and used.
PS: Rose and Wayne had a beautiful baby girl at noon on Monday, April 25th. All are healthy and doing well.

Thank you for posting this 50,
Roy Track was known for his friendliness both on and off the microphone. He was always kind and good to my family. I know we will miss him at this year's Gathering. We will especially mis looking to see where and who he was interviewing in the stands.
He was truly one of a kind and a genuinely good person!
WhoMePowwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.
