Controversy At GON???!!!???

Ok, not to get too far off topic, but I did want to answer a couple of points you raise.

I was at GON taking photos with a professional camera (Minolta Maxxum 7D) and I posted over 130 to the site and used a camcorder to shoot over 3 hours of footage. And yes this site does have advertising. That advertising pays for the site as well as that camera, my camcorder, etc.

But the best thing about this site is that it is almost 100% user driven! Take a look at the galleries, who took those photos? The members here! They took them and submitted them. This site is great not because of who runs it but because of the member involvement!

I wish you well in your project. But I would recommend trying a different business model than charging for membership. That's a model that was used in the early stages of the web and just didn't work.

yeah for sure man me n my friends were shocked at some of the peoples who placed ESPECIALLY the grass dancerz. kinda lame and kinda smart. but he messed up when he started rambling on and coming to his own conclusions. im not interested any of that crap and if that site is run like that good luck. im not interested..

I said its not my sight geez I am just trying to help out a fellow native bro, to get some exposure, man you natives are harsh always going back to what is free...so why dont you mention how pricey the advertising is I guess.....giev me the names of the people who run this site I will pass it on.......and I dont think the dudes are trying to make living on this site...but I know its the first site ever for a native to send his own pictures, bio, and contacts for other natives to see.....I wish the dudes luck too and I hope there is other people who would want to support this web-site..dont be a cheap *** indians 12.00 a year thats a good enough price for me and I am cheap...thats why I am on this Web-site....ha ha ha .....

I appreciate you trying to "help out a fellow native." That is commendable.

What is not commendable is how you are doing it.

You have to realize, a lot of us consider each other family on Powwows.com. When family is threated or put down, family will stick up for family.

Kwe Zee, Paul G and Quick Silver are family. We're not haters, just protectors.

We all genuinely enjoy this website and support it's continuance.

Thank you for helping the "fellow native" out. There needs to be more support for natives and native issues.
