well thanks for the acknowledgements on graduating, it was a long hard 2 years but i finished and it feels wonderful, congrats to all 50 American Indian graduates that attended the American Indian Academic Achievement Celebration Saturday May 14,05 ceremonies. I just knew of Julia Painter and Jennifer Youngbear that are powwow dancers that graduated, Julia achieved her Bachelor's in Special Education w/distinction and Jennifer received her Bachelor's in Native American Studies, as well as Ponca Wi Victor's graduated from KU w/Bachelor's in Science???I know she was going on to become a Doctor, GOOD LUCK Ponca Wi. Once again thanks for the acknowledgements and I encourage all powwow dancers/singers to complete their educational goals and go for it.

Well, I went to the graduation and saw Jennifer and Yvette receive their diplomas and it was awesome. There were so many people, all races and I was trying "lu-lu" the loudest for the indians graduating. LOL
I am still going to school(SWOSU) and will be for awhile since I work full time and carry full time hours (9). I am attending OU this summer under the AICEE program(American Indian Continuing Education program). I am striving for my degree and eventually my masters in Education, particulary Special Education. It will be awhile because I have to be a mom too. LOL
My oldest daughter is graduating high school(early graduation program) and I have another daughter who is a sophomore, one who is in the 5th grade and my baby is in the 3rd grade. So, it will be awhile before my time is my own. LOL
Ponka-We is heading to Washington D.C for the summer, she emailed me and said she was doing really well. So good luck to her and all the Native Americans who are trying to educate themselves and also participate in their culture to keep it alive. You have to participate in both worlds to keep a balance in your life, and I am very proud of all of the Native people who are successful at this task.

I have a friend whose grand daughter is in Nation wide children's hospital. She is is pretty bad shape and they don't know if she will make it. I am lighting a candle for her on my altar and Trinity Hope's grand father is asking for people to pray for her and send positive energy to her and her family....
