Farmington Powwow

There is a powwow in Farmington this weekend. Sept 3/4th However, the information is still hanging up at Cool Runnings in Window Rock....LOL. Wish I wrote it down. Anyhow, I know its at the Civic Center in Farmington.

Ummmmm I think GE is 1pm/7pm on Sat but not sure when it us on Sunday.

It is a contest powwow, I do remember that. LOL. I believe drum/dance contests all categories. I don't remember what the specials are.

Sorry....I am no good this week. I think the UFO's on the rez has intercepted my brain wave....ayeeeeee.

Maybe Tradish Mom can update us on this, since they are hosting.....hee hee.

Callin Eagle only had a crew of three during the CNF powwow at Chinle ... and they were rocking!

yeah you should hear them 3 blast out a tune while in the back of my minivan.......LOL. They did that a couple of times.. Talk about that song... VOICES CARRY......ayeeeee.

The annual Totah Festival in the Farmington Civic Center. Real small arena, soggy too, but still an alright powwow. Might want to check Farmington events calendar just to make sure.

the powwow is being held at the Farmington Civic Plaza. it is a day powwow ...meaning there are no night lights. Grand Entry is at 1pm sat and sunday. It is a contest powwow.
Callin' Eagle is hosting and we will have a full crew this weekend. It is hard with young singers to keep a full crew due to transportation...but this weekend, we will all be there jammin' in Farmington.
Hope everyone comes out to enjoy to the singing and dancing.

I understand that my bro Dennis Bowen was the MC. He will also be at Sky City Casino Powwow on Sept. 16-18, 2005, the Colorado River Indian Tribes Powwow on Sept. 30-Oct 1, 2005 and at the Western Navajo Fair Powwow on Oct. 15-16, 2005.

Great time!!

This was an overall great powwow.
We had a great time meeting new people and singing some new songs composed on the way there.
The committee was well organized and Dennis did a fantastic job (as usual) mc'ing the event. I liked his crazy sheep jokes! Mike ran the arena smoothly as well...
