Talk about Wild West Shows, I think there is a plan in place to have a hugh event at the opening of the new Horse World (or West World) pavilion at Gila River sometime in the spring time. I don't have any details, but it sounds like a three-day contest powwow, a "ceremonial-dance-type" arena, an Indian Village and such. Does anyone have any info on this?

I know I'm not going to the powwow at Apache Gold this weekend.

    2 Events

Physically the 2 can't be held under the same roof. Livestock would be main factor for this reason, their too jumpy and having Pow-wow dancers around with the jingles and large bustles would put the livestock under strees. INFR doesn't gather too large a crowd to comparison of PBR but the committees are setting themselves up for event death if they try to draw 2 large event crowds. You normally have your 2 spectators Pow-wow loyals and rodeo loyals if you want a good financial outcome keeping the 2 would be best.

The last one I called had five rooms left and was trying to sell them for $199 a night!!!! (This was two days ago)

It would be cool if there was a powwow. It would be reminicent of when the Finals were in Alb., Rapid City & Canada.
Like i said, their having a pow-wow. I'll try to get more info

    ORRRRRRRRR....
because of the time constraints they could just combine the catagories!!!!
I vote for bullriding and fancy! (must use your outfit AND ride the bull)
    also, jingle and steerwrestling!!!
or how about men's tradish and calf-roping (opps i mean TIE DOWN roping!)
or how about team roping and grass AND women's tradish!
(pictures Dustin Bird in jodi gillette's women's tradish outfit chasin down the arena)
