    Paul,

When a powwow is held in an established facility such as a theme park and is open to those who paid for admission, shouldn't the powwow participants get in free since they are part of the weekend attraction?

It's kinda like getting a band into a theme park and asking them to pay to get in. If they're temporarily part of the attraction it would only seem right that they shouldn't have to pay to perform.

plus if it's an amusement park.. will we be there for "show?" also, do we need to pay to get in? Once there, i know my kids will not be interested in a powwow... as a matter of fact, me included,.. "wow!.. look at all the rides!!!".. lol

That's true, but would your kids also get excited about coming to this pow wow because there would be rides?

The reason I'm looking at an amusement park is because I won't have to pay to rent the space. And I don't have to pay for accidental insurance.

Also Ohio is more centralized than Montana or Oregon. Oklahoma would be great, but where?

And I also hope that having it at a park like Cedar Point would be a draw for people. I'm very concerned that we won't draw many people having it anywhere else.

    But I'm open to suggestions.

For those of you that don't know, Cedar Point is the "World's Best Theme Park". It is located in Ohio.

The park has been voted best with the Golden Ticket awards the past 7+ years. It boasts 16 roller coasters!

You can see more about it here:

We've talked about this several times. And the problem I've had making this happening is finding a location.

How many of you would be willing come to Cedar Point for the PowWows.com Pow Wow?

I've talked to them about having the event there. And it might be feasable.

The weekend would include a "Meet and Greet" time on Friday night, Pow Wow on Saturday and time to enjoy the park.

In August I will be camping in Onamia at the Mille Lacs 38th annual pow wow.
My father is 7/8ths and lives/lived on the rez, which puts me just under 1/2 I guess- Ive never known him really at all. Talked to him a couple times on the...

Pow Wow Question - Entry Fees
    by Velvet Mustang
    Hello Everyone!

I have danced at pow wows for several years and there has never been an entry fee. This past weekend while at a pow wow, I received a flyer for another pow wow (different location) that is charging a $400 entry fee for each of the dance catagories. I have not see this...

We have quite a few recipes here now. Would you all be interested in me publishing them in a cookbook?

Cost would probably be $9 or under range (maybe around $5-6).

    Let me know!

So, I have just moved to Indiana from Texas for college. Unfortunately that means my powwow is back home, and as it happens during the school year, I can’t go. I was hoping someone had recommendations for Powwows near East Indiana that I could go to. Unfortunately I’m apparently the only...
