What the hell kinda question is that? What do we "think" of them?

Try that question again. Your wording seems a little weird.

Black is very slimming. Also, it looks much cooler when you're swinging a sword around than, say, a rainbow outfit with a clown mask.

great reply there Z Man. Not to mention it's the way many prefer their coffee. So, a rainbow outfit and a clown mask isn't good? Oh, say hi to Sgt. Garcia next time you see him.

I can't speak for everyone here. In fact, I can't speak for anyone here except myself.
I have several friends who have both African and Native ancestry. (Is that what you mean by "Black Indians"?)
I think about each of them now and then, usually one at a time.

I think as nice as we would like to make it seem that we're all so good natured that we're stupified that someone would ask that. I think it's a valid question but no one is going to come out and be all..."well man I don't like it" b/c that's just freaking rude and ignorant. But to ignore the fact that most black natives are discriminated against at pow wows is just as ignorant. I know so many who are talked about, put down or looked negatively upon b/c they're just a little TOO dark for the taste of some natives. Which to me is insane b/c how in the hell can a person be like that when as natives we KNOW what it's like to be looked at and judged based on our skin. It's ridiculous.

                  K I'm done.

There is a LOT of truth in what you have said.. sadly...racism based on color exists amongst damn near all groups....

These are some heavy words. But Candae Princess is speaking the truth. Come on, tell it, have you ever been discriminated because of your skin color. I know I have.

Señorita, you have won my heart with your clear-sightedness, courage and plain-speaking! The next time you are in southern California I would be honored to escort you to our local Flaminglorico celebration.

It all depends on the situation and one's goal, Señor. For instance, it is difficult to appear dramatic, dangerous or sexy in a rainbow outfit unless one is a member of Earth, Wind & Fire. Clown masks can certainly appear dangerous, but they don't do much for the señoritas. Well, unless one is a member of Kiss, in which case they may do more than one's real face ever could. I, however, am very handsome, and black adds that perfect touch of mystery. Enough, apparently, to fool certain bumbling sargeants.

nothing wrong with 'black indians' but how come half blood indians arent called 'white indians' or 'french indians' or 'german indians'

The only problem I have is when you are black, than all of a sudden you are black/indian and you treat others like sh*t because now you have 2 reasons to dislike white folks. You are a "double minority" (not saying you are like that but there are many)

You go from wearing cheapo beaded headbands and terry cloth fringy shirts to wearing fully beaded outfits, only now you make fun of the people with cheap headbands and terry cloth shirts. (seen that too)

Be any color indian you want, thats fine with me. Just dont be a "Holier than thou indian"
There are 2 types of people in the world...
Really stupid people who think they are smart
                              and
Really smart people who think they are smart.
