Arlee or Pechanga???

Anyone have info on Pechanga in Southern, CA. I know where and when.....I guess what I really wanna know is......is it worth the 16 hour drive and all that gas $$$???? Arlee's my favorite pow-wow on this particular weekend, but we wanted to try something new/different.

If we could, we would be right there in the middle of it, eatin poppy's chili cheese fries and trying not to get it on me. Watchin stick game, and of course getting in there to dance my legs off. ( I did hear that they are already planning on enlarging the dance arbor yet again.)

There's no way I can be there but I wanna know this; did they ever say who the headstaff is? I mean, dang, Grand Entry is at 6:00 tonight PST, have they picked a staff yet????

And, (if I start something with this, who cares, I'm deep in Bush Country, who'll find me?) Is this any inclination that there will be a fair contest this year? Will locals stand a chance? Will batman survive this watery fortress? Will Robin finally come out of the closet? Will the Wonder Woman movie ever be finished? Okay, Okay, I'll stop. I just always wanted to do voice over from the Batman reruns. Yes, I realized I have dated myself and certified my own insanity.

Dang, that is definitely worth a road trip. I miss him, but my daughter probably missses him more. Once she asked me if he was one of her grandpas. I told her he's every little kid's grandpa.

Rosebud was prbably better than both put together!!! Arlee went waaaay too long. We were done contesting around 6:00 Tuesday evening. They didn't anounce the results until 11:00!!!! They took so long I won't be able to make it to Prairie Island now!!!!! I should have went to Fort Duchesne for Fri, Sat,& Sun then to Rosebud for Mon -Tuesday!!! Shoulds, coulda ....woulda!!! DANG iT!!!Maybe next year! Tyson Draper was the only Fancy Feather dancer for the 1000 dollar special in Fort Duchesne!!!Combined w/ the regular contest he walked away w/ $2000!!!His drum split was probably a good chunk a change too!!
