I e-mailed the contact person about information about this powwow and got no response. Wonder what the big secret is?

Could someone post info about this one? Host hotels especially. Any other info would be appreciated. Miigwech.

HO-CHUNK SPORTS & EXPO CENTER POW WOW

Kiwehnzii, I just happen to have a poster and it has this info: Grand Entries- Friday 7pm Sat. 1pm & 7pm, Sunday 12 Noon. The center is located 35 miles south of Chicago on 19700 Stoney Island Ave. in Lynwood,Il. No list for host hotels, but a phone number for the Ho-Chunk Nation Chicago Branch Office is 773-202-8433. Hope that helps you out!

HoChunk Pow Wow-Host Hotel?

I was informed via email the host hotel was full, but they were trying to look for other hotels in the area. Someone is surpose to get back with me. When or if I receive more infor, I'll post it.

For those from Wisconsin, Super 8 in Mokena, IL (right off I-80) is a little west, but I'd try there (around $75). Lynwood and it's surrounding towns are kinda ghetto. Also, DO NOT GO THROUGH CHICAGO! Construction! Go down I-39 all the way to I-80. A little longer, but no tolls and a little less traffic.

For those from Michigan, try Highland, IN. Then use mapquest to get directions from your hotels address. The Motel 6 off of Cline Ave. has cops there a lot. Also, there was a sniper who was shooting at random cars there a couple months ago and I don't know if they caught him/her yet. Try to get mapquest directions around Cline Ave.

Maybe Tinley Park has hotels.
