            I'm going too!!!
Finally, after all these years. I was smart this year and ask for a plane ticket as an Xmas present.

But...anyone know details about a powwow rate at the Hard Rock? I've called all the contacts, no one returns calls.

I hope this isn't the powwow rate, but I went to their website and it said $579 for that friday, saturday and then $299 for sunday.

I know, isn't that crazy!!! LOL

Well, I called the hotel - they said they are not able to book rooms under the powwow block because they have to be booked by the tribal office.
So I called the tribal office to get in contact with the committee...left tons of messages everywhere. Still no answer. LOL

Our tickets are booked so we are sooo hoping to stay at the casino. But if not, oh well shmo well! At least we get to dance n powwow.

                Anyone have suggestions?

                  Hey Oji,

I will finally get to meet you! Will you be wearing the buckskin that is on your profile?

                  Bux, Kayaanii and Miss Nish,

Lookin' forward to seeing you down there too!
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

Yes my friend, I will be. Unless I make something fresh n new by then, which is highly doubtful. haha!
But, remember that year you thought you saw me at GON?
Well, Miss Nish and I figured it may have possibly been her sister. I lent her some of my outfit that weekend. LOL.
                    Close but no cigar!

I'm really looking forward to finally making it to this powwow. I've heard great things about it.

                        What I found out...some newz

Okay, my cuzzint lives down thurr and she said the pow wow starts Friday afternoon around 1pm and the dancers dance until around 4pm or 5pm in the rodeo arena and then the Rodeo starts after...sooo....I said, do we have to dance in the dirt? I guess the dancers have to dance in the Rodeo arena cause their not able to haul the dirt in and out... Sooo. I wonder...is there going to be like cow manuda or stock waste in the arena that we have to jam out on or wha??? scurry...I keep checking though to see if they change it. I wanna go, but wondering about the dirt business.

Anyone know different or heard anythig different??? huh? anyone??

Where is there a good place to stay as we'd be flying in from the North...
Don't forget why you dance.......to make otherz feel goot!----from the North...

I'm 33 years old and I have always been taught the old ways, our values and being a strong native woman. I have the tools, the resources, the passion but I need a boost here.
