        How much a night?

How much is the Marriott? And the pow wow is from 1-4 on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, all day, according to the committee...that's the latest.

We got our Marriott rooms at a gov't rate of $179 a night.

Is the powwow only in the afternoon on Friday and Saturday?

What night can all the powwows.commers meet at the Hard Rock????

Here's the website but it doesn't give much information:

              Hard Rock, no rooms

Yeah, I keep checking and they don't have any rooms avail at the Hard Rock and they are like $500 a night.... would be kewl to stay there since it's close by and convenient. oh well, keep checking.

yeah, the pow wow is Fri and Sat from 1-4pm and Sunday all day. There's a rodeo going on in the evenings in the same place.

                uhShoshon,

So does that mean there is no powwow at night on Fri and Sat?

Is anyone going to the Beach (South Beach)?

I like to gamble. I like to bet on Jai Alai. Florida is one of the few states with live Jai Alai. Jai Alai is billed as the fastest sport there is! So I am going to spend at least one night at the Miami or Dania Jai Alai arena.

                Is anybody going sight seeing?

                Anybody wanna eat alligator?

                            b_b,

Jai Alai (pronounced Hi Uh-lie) is a spanish sport much like a hybrid of "indoor lacrosse and handball." Single and double teams play each other by picking up a ball (the size of a baseball), with a scoop (the size of a lacrosse stick,) and throwing it against a wall at some amazing speeds. The other team has to catch the ball in their scoop and throw it back at the wall at different angles to make the opposing team miss catching the ball with their scoops. It is really fast paced. If they accidently get hit by the ball ... it's usually lights out!

The arena is crowded, loud, with suds, food and betting! They play Castillian music and the teams march in before they play.

Where is the basketball tourney? Are you or Bux gonna play?

Wanna hookup and head to South Beach one night?

wow that sounds kinda cool - haven't ever heard of anything like that... but i'm sure it's a trip to watch & very entertaining... esp. when they get hit... haha! i guess there's really a risk in all kindsa sports.

well anyway, i'm not exactly sure where the bball tourney is - i think it's bout a mile away from the casino. bux is playin' fa so and i might join in, depending on when they play, we'll see...

it'll be good to catch up w/ya.... haha, we have to go to fl to hook up when we're in each others backyard! powwows bring us together :)

i get in on fri. nite, so i'm sure i'll see ya around! 3 weeks to go!
