Oh good grief!!! We all knew what he was saying - why feel the need to correct? Most people (including yourself) aren't that adept at typing sioux. For the record, since you're correcting...it's spelled hwo - the male ending to a question.

      As for the original question:

      Han
I think everyone on this rez is addicted to Harry Potter...lol...

Well thank you Wojapi4gajo. Just kidding! Either way, spelling correctly isn't required. I say huwo and you say hwo, lol.

Why what an elementary school cut-down LOL

In the original post I made I wasn't really getting down on you. I just hate to see people make fun of and nitpick those trying to learn a language which peji is obviously working on. Everyday I see older people ridicule younger people who try to speak Indian and its absurd. Anyone trying to learn a language should be encouraged; not discouraged...that was my point.

Thanks for the laugh of the insult though...haven't heard that in years! LOL

I know what you mean Singerdad and I apologize for being so elementary. I shall now retire to my work.

And yeah...... just to speak up for peji....... I know him and you should hear him and his sons belt out the old style Lakota songs. Yeah....... he may not have spelled it right...... but he knows what he says and sings. FYI.

Oh...... and just to add another note....... I agree. I also get really tired of people bein so picky ...... it's like no one hears what they are saying but just how they say it sometimes.

Hi everyone, pleased to finally find an active site for native quanderings. It was always rumored in my family that we were cherokee (because of our features) but up until yesterday I thought that was myth. I found my greatgrandfather on the Dawes Rolls and wondered if any of you knew what the "Type"...
