Jibby, if you know him, ask him where are my sticks or at least return my phone calls, emails and messages. When talking with him, I felt alright about him but to do what happened and then not return any correspondence??? That is what makes this embarrassing and frustrating."I am not a superhero; just one of the few working hard and long for the survival of my PEOPLE."

Shoot, if you just need more time to finish, take it, I dont care, just dont make up stories.
I had a run in with somone on this board a few years back who supposedly mailed back some things i loaned him, i still havent gotten them.
He did some bad things to other people also, i hear possibly even jailtime for it, yet he is back here still.
Just goes to show no matter how nice someone is, they can do shatty things to you. Sometimes it is an accident, sometimes intentional.Bahnisiain

Hi Seahawk,
I did indeed ask him via MSN and he said that he is waiting information from Fed Ex and that "they have his sticks". Perhaps his justifictaion for not returning emails, phone calls and messages is that he had given you the information to the best of his knowledge, and is now himself playing the waiting game.
I don't know either, but have certainly passed along your message.
I hope this gets resolved, one time I waited 4 months for some Chuck T's I ordered off of eBay :( Customs were holding them at the border. What a glorious day when they arrived!Last edited by Jibbyâ„¢; 03-01-2007, 10:20 AM.Got percap?

I've also had a similar problem with someone well known on this board couple years back. She was supposed to make some imitation plumes for me but she never sent them. She even went so far as to say, "OMG, I don't want you to think that I'm cheating you out of your money!" I had to post thread to get her attention and she still made excuses why she didn't send them to me and still hasn't. But that's ok, I let that go. If she needed the money that bad to scam someone then there must be other issues she's got goin on.
(P.S. I feel ya superndngyrl)Don't ever stop dancing

First, Jibby thanks for getting into this, he has a true friend in you for becoming third party to drama such as this. Why would FedEx hold his/ my sticks hostage... without a tracking number?? I called today and spoke with representatives from FedEx... there is no shipment. I had them check using my name, address and zip. I then had them check using his name... no shipment. According to them every shipment has a tracking number and even ground would be here in 5 days."I am not a superhero; just one of the few working hard and long for the survival of my PEOPLE."

I agree with telling the truth. If you forgot or stuff came up just tell the truth.... however when it's one thing after another after the other after another it's gets old real quick. I usually send stuff insured priority through USPS with delivery or signature confirmation.... that way your butt's somewhat covered in case the ish hits the fan.
I hope your you get your stuff. That's a sucky situation to be in.SHAKE IT!!!!

Flaky Pow Wow People
Luckily I've never had to deal with the situation noted here but I have friends who have...There is a very popular pow wow dancer (or WAS) who does beadwork, sewing etc. She doesn't go to pow wows much anymore but everytime I mention her name (she was my friend) people start chiming in about what she's supposed to be making for them. A Straight dance outfit, A men's dance shirt, some chokers, mocassins-actually 3 years ago my best friend gave her one that he already did plus about $300 and all his beads AND she still hasn't come up with his new mocs...And he asks her about every 2 weeks including last week!!!!!!!!!!!!
My best friend also had the misfortune of meeting a guy in Cherokee, NC about 5 years ago who was supposed to mail my friend a bunch of yellowhammers in trade for some B&W. My best friend being very trusting handed over the B&W's on the spot and is still waiting to this day for the yellowhammers. I saw the guy the following year at the same pow wow, Cherokee 4th of July and he had some lame excuse about mailing them in a few days. Years later and here we are...
I have to say that when I make stuff for people I'm very conscientious about getting it to them when I say I will or updating them if I'm running late, because I know how much it sucks to trust someone and have them let you down.

Mayche and Super......... do you realize you got burnt by the same person?
I remember how snotty she sounded in the posts about the plumes. Acting like you were the one in the wrong."We see it as a desecration not only of a mountain but of our way of life. This is a genocidal issue to us. If they kill this mountain, they kill our way of life." ~Debra White Plume

The Running Man
Well here it is several days after posting a very accusatory thread towards aye_how_er_007 and still not a word from Mr. Walsh. Did you know that you can look under the members list and see when a user has logged in last... and his last log in was 02-28-2007 pg.74. So, his friends had told him that he has been mentioned in a bad way on an open forum and by his logging in I am guessing that he has seen this thread and yet still not a word to me. NO PHONE CALL, NO EMAIL, NO MESSAGE, NO TRACKING NUMBERS, NO RETURN MONIES, NO STICKS.
Thanks to Powwows.com for letting me put this thread out there and tell about this fraudulent transaction. I may have broke some rules by naming someone outright but I have the paperwork that proves my case. Thanks Jibby for trying to settle things and thanks to those who have posted in support and shared previous experiences with other shadey acting people. I am not done right now by a long shot. I still have some irons to burn... maybe one will get hot enough to burn or shed some light on this issue."I am not a superhero; just one of the few working hard and long for the survival of my PEOPLE."

another guy claimed he sent funds that i never got and then got ticked that i wouldnt ship the flute any way just on faith that the MO was on its way (his words not mine)
then theres anther guy that the international native american flute association has been tracking for a few years who also tried to get me too.
it would be nice if every transaction would go well and honorably, but thats just not reality
I know how you feel on the other side of the coin man. I made a breech cloth and leggings set for a friend, was rushed and given priority and shipped overnight from Florida to Sturgis. I was in close contact with him all the way through. I called him the day he was supposed to get the package, and he said he hadnt check yet, would do later. I tried calling him the next day, and never heard from him again. I was wired the money and shipped out the same day I collected the money. But I was going to ask him if he was satisfied or if he ever even got the darn things.
Also had problems with this kind of thing on ebay. I would ship out, recommend UPS to my customers and they would insist on normal mail. I gave no guarantees on delivery times using regular postal. It took two months for a package to go from Florida to Puerto Rico. The guy threatened to give me bad feedback. I had and still have a 100% feedback rating and I just kept in contact with him, telling him to stay calm and the package was on its way. He finally got it.
A word about FedEx and the regular mail. Priority shipping through USPS actually gets shpped FedEx. Its the reason why you see a FedEx box in front of your local post office. But when it comes to space on the planes FedEx packages get priority over USPS.
Something else I know... Because of homeland security, there are more and more things going through inspection, where they actually open packages and even destroy the items within in the searching. My coworker has a motorcycle that was made overseas in India by Royal Infieild. He ordered a special seat and horn for his bike. They were shipped and stopped in customs, some place in Minnesota. The items were unpacked and disassembled in the process, destroying the items. New ones had to be ordered. The replacement items were paid for by the shipper, no charge to the customer, but it took a total of 2 months to receive the seat and horn.
Crazy world we live in aint it?
