how many grandentries must u make and when does it actually begin for the rest of the dancers? spoke with one of the committee members and she stated that july 4 was for the quapaw community only ??? share details some of us work and would like to attend?

Wednesday is Quapaw night. Thursday is for juniors contest and maybe teens. Friday is womens contest and Saturday is mens contest. This is what I was told. I am going up on Thursday. I think if you make Friday and Saturday grand entries you'll be good.

Just to let you all know, rumors are flying about all the water in Oklahoma and that Quapaw has been cancelled.....Truth is....QUAPAW IS STILL ON. We spoke with the committee this morning and they are still planning to dance. Have a back up in case of rain. So spread the word.....QUAPAW IS STILL ON.

Just a note....Billie is recovering well and doing fine. She is at home but doing great. Keep her and the family in your prayers.

Have you heard where the powwow is going to be held at? As of right now the Quapaw powwow grounds is under water. I have heard rumors that it might be held at the Miami Civic Center but parts of Miami is also under water, and at this time the water is still rising. Although the Civic Center is in a safe spot there isn't too many entrances left into Miami. Just wondering is all.

went to there tonight and it wasn't that wet....or any wetter than other place in Oklahoma right now. It is stil flooded in Miami, in places, but the water is receeding. Will go out there for the rest of the weekend, too.
