  • Winners from DNA powwow in Tampa, FL?

I had some friends stop by the house for a couple of days on their way from the Manito Ahbee in Winnipeg on their way to the Discover Native American Powwow in Tampa, Florida.

Does anybody have a list of winners yet from the Tampa powwow?

I sure would like to see how high they placed and who was there!

Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

Don't know the winners, but interesting tidbit. For the amount of money they had, my siblings said they didn't have a whole heck of alot of dancers. Some categories had only a couple people. Strange.

I heard that to. I do know that in this area there was 3 other powwows going on at the same time. Plus some of the dancer here had shows they were doing.
The look on a baby's face the first time they hear the drum is priceless.......

This is true. I thought a lot more dancers would come. I didn't stay long enough to hear the results.
        Don't ever stop dancing

don't have anything else for ya. Watched some video from there and agree I can't believe there were so few dancers.

As for who was there, I saw Ardell & Henrietta, Dale & Rowena, Gabe Cleveland, Jerry Cleveland Jr, Spike Draper, Darryl Hill, Royce Kingbird, Adam Norwall, Julius NotAfraid, Dakota McGurk, Daryl Bolton. That's all i can remember. Sorry that's only from the video i saw, n I don't know everyone. lol

But hey the switch dance was pretty funny.

You can't have a powwow without a drum!
