Anyone going to the Choctaw Pow-wow in Durant, OK?

I have never been there, and thought I'd go this year. Luckily for my little family, we are able to go. One influence in my decision to go is to buy more beads from the Bead Lady, Cara Purdy! Wohooo! She had planned to go to Indio, Ca, but changed her plans to go to Durant instead.

So, anyone else gonna be there? Anyone know any more information (head staff, etc) about the pow-wow? I tried to download from the Choctaw website, but I have a slow dial-up connection.

We are heading down there and looking forward to it.

This year this powwow also has split age categories for the adults. Junior Adults 18-34, Senior Adults 35-54, Golden Age 55 and older. There are five places in all adult categories, including golden age ($800-600-400-200-100). GA has Northern and Southern separate.

There is also a Men's Fancy Dance Spotlight special called "Generations Collide" (18-34 vs. 35 and over)

This was a great powwow last year!
