      Bux,

Say hello to my mom and niece. They're headed down there too!

Also, your sis called me and I am going to emcee for their dance!
Powwows will continue to evolve in many directions. It is inevitable.

We caught Blues Nation in Club 49 saturday night, those guys ROCKED THE HOUSE! :)

Anna called me & was so excited as soon as she got word from you about the MC gig, i'm really happy to hear they were able to get you to MC for them....thanks for always being there for us and helping out!! I wish I could be there this year.

Had to stay home :(. Have been sick for the last 2 weeks and can't really travel more than 2-3 hours from home. Sucks. I know we won't go to Red Mtn either... . I have been kinda of a hermit, not seeing or talkin to anyone either....*S*. I want to try for Ft McD....but doubt that also. Trying to save energy for Thanksgiving and goin back home to Big Mtn.....I am severely homesick. I know we'll be at Cree Eagleman though..... homesick to seeing friends & Family....

                Maybe see you then.....
You have crossed my path, You will never be forgotten......

It was wonderful seeing such a well done job by a first time powwow.

The Drums present provided the best.
Ok ok, I'm tired traveled all night and just got up (for sure a sleepy head)

Seeing the couple presented with a blanket on Saturday was nice. The smile that...

I visited the Trader's Village powwow today as a spectator. I was quite suprised to see how few dancers that were actually there. Now granted I got there at 4pm and I am not sure if the dancers had been excused. I doubt it since they were contesting 12-6 according to their website. For a powwow...

The grounds were lovely, the building was great. The Drum was awsum, the dancers except for a tiny handful were traditional in dress and dance. The lack of dancers was a shame, the program was not adhered to. Supposed to have been dancing and etc all day. Nothing got going til 1pm, the drum was sitting...

                    Red Earth Powwow 2012

This year, my family decided to make a list of a powwows we had never attended and Red Earth made the cut. THUNDER had nothing to do with it of course...ahem!

I would like to publically acknowledge Terry Snowball and Jackie Swift-McCabe for their tireless and often thankless efforts, in their CoChairpersonship of this year's National Powwow! by Celena
I'll start out by saying the usual things were good about this powwow: the drums and the dancers. It's them that ultimately make or break a powwow, for the most part. There were some really great specials and the dancers really put up a good competition. The weather was mild, and it was not unbearably...
