I think people who attend competition dances and participate in the competition part, should not expect anything. You should just dance your best and have fun to boot. As for dropping things, that's a no-no in my book. Its not like the 3 second rule for dropping an oreo in the kitchen floor:)

      the 3 second rule? niiicccee....
I think some things you cant do much about. Like if a bell falls off the strap-it happens.....but if the whole strap falls off, than walk off...
But if no one but you and some spectators see it, then all you can do is hope they'd do the right thing.
Money makes folks do crazy things. That's too bad. I like dancing and I like when most of the people present are there to dance, too. Makes the vibe of the pow wow where you want to dance harder.

Now that I have your attention, let me try and tell this experience as objectively as possible. I want some feeback before I tell you how I felt about this:
I was at a pow-wow this past weekend. It was a small pow-wow. There were a hand full of quality dancers and a hand full of hobbiest

        What would you do HELP
        by badmaninc
Hey dudes, I need some advice. I coach lacrosse with a bunch of 17-18 year old boys. Anyway, I have a moral dilemma. I have watched 5 of my players get into fights during the box season this year. None of them can fight their way out of a paper bag. My problem is that for the most part, they are...

Hello, was at chamber's farm last night for a so called pow-wow.
In my opinion, they needed to call it a white man trying to have a Native American gathering. sevral of the dancers were walking across the circle with food and drinks, just so they didn't have to go around the circle. they had people...

Congrats to all the winners at Schemitzun this year, dancing and singing in all that heat and humidity you all deserve it. This was actually my first time going back in quite a while and I must say that I was disappointed with the overall atmosphere and tempo of the pow wow. For one thing, Schemitzun...
