        Categories

The categories are Men Traditional, fancy, grass; Women Tradition, fancy shawl, jingle; Golden age men; Golden age women.

We would have a monster pow wow if we could do that, but I'm pretty sure our tribal council, here at Bay Mills, would squash that. However, I'm sure they would welcome your participation here :)

Hope things go well and you all have an incredible pow wow weekend at Fort Washakie.

I don't think I'll be on the committee 4ever......so when I'm released from my duties I'd like to get back that way and dance in some new places. I hope your celebration is a success also.

                Bay Mills Pow Wow

Bay Mills is in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula. We are located about 17 miles west of Sault Ste. Marie, which is also at the northern most point of Interstate 75.

It's a nice location, with the St Mary's river and Lake Superior nearby. I have attended this pw in the past several times, and it was always a good one. Being near the Sault area is always great, well at least in summer!

                          canopies

We are trying to leave some room open for canopies. The only thing that I ask is that people set them back a few feet so that those with only chairs can have some space. Sometimes canopies make it tough to get a decent view, but I think we should be okay.
