And what about Morongo and Bishop being on the same weekend? Asked to a couple dancers why they weren't at Morongo the last couple of years and they said they went up to support the Bishop Powwow.

                Anybody?

I'll make the Malibu pdub if I'm not working and either UCLA or San Manuel.

Yep, there are FOUR good powwows that weekend:

My local college kids at UC San Diego (La Jolla, CA) are gonna be lacking some dancers. UCLA also.

I'm betting everybody is gonna be at THA POW WOW in San Bernardino, this year it is outdoors at the San Manuel ballpark stadium. Big Prize Money too!

Too bad for Mother Earth Powwow up in Victorville, that Mojave Narrows Park is a nice setting for a powwow...

                          Good catch JD!

Some of the tribal websites have not posted their powwows for 2013.

C'mon let the good times roll!

Truth be told, I 'druther go to San Manuel than Morongo.

Someone (Paul) should check into Webcasting from there! LOL

Then you have the Chumash powwow up in Santa Ynez. It's part of the casino circuit in the fall. Young Bear was host Northern drum last year. Ben Wolf was MC. Talked to Boye Ladd for a minute.

                              Nice little powwow.

Morongo was impossible to move around and film from beside each drum. There was no room to walk between the bleachers and the drums. The sound was only okay overall, so standing right next to the drums was vital for a good video. I did a bunch of Bird Singing videos at Morongo, saw some Kwtsaan friends. On Sunday all the unsold Morongo powwow shirts went for only $5 bucks each, all sizes, so I did early Christmas shopping LOL.

Morongo needs to tighten up the arena, and make one side for dancers / families, and the other side spectators/lookie-loos....and moms pushing strollers might have a chance to get through.

Morongo has so much more potential.

I went to Santa Ynez, very nice campground setting amongst the oak trees, ran into "Chumash Dave" cool dude! I had to go to Fresno next day, could not hang around, but filmed some good videos for my YouTube.

San Manuel I filmed my butt off, just knocked myself out with all the great drums there, awesome sound, easy to run to the next drum.

I even filmed the San Manuel Wanna-Be dance contest, but never uploaded it to YouTube....looks weird.

Hi everyone,my heart tends to race pretty fast lately and I don't know if it’s because I started taking too much coffee per day or because of a more serious health problem. Now I'm literally a coffee addict. Any idea to stop this?
