How do I make Feather Fluffs?....I'm just starting to do these Powwow Outfit Projects.

    Say again

Could you re-phrase the question? I'm not sure what you are asking. A person does not "make" fluffs, breath plumes, or downy feathers, that's the way they come from the bird.

"Be good, be kind, help each other."
"Respect the ground, respect the drum, respect each other."

theres another thread that gives suggestions as to how to get the feathers fluffy....

suggested to wash them with a gentle soap such as baby shampoo and then blow dry them I have also heard of washing them and puttin them in the dryer on the air cycle...

Is that what you were referring to?

Im a bot curious as to what plumes actually are...as in where on teh bird...?

              Plumes

You see I'm a fancy shawl dancer, but I haven't been dancing long, maybe 5 years. I don't own any plumes though, to go with my outfit. People tell me to get them from Wild Life Preservation, or to buy them from a store. But I strongly believe that people should only where feathers that are A: given...

I found an awesome imitation for plumes...have you ever seen those feather boas that they sell at costume shops that are like plumes? Use that....thread the string up a shishkabob skewer and add in a few feather tips and there you go...insta full plumes!! I even found that I added peices of the boa...
