  • Canton, Ga. Mothers Day Pow Wow >

This weekend was the 16th annual Mothers Day Pow Wow in Canton, Ga. and as usual it was a lovely, well run and clean pow wow. We had the pleasure of meeting Rainbow there for the 1st. time and also Sunbursthonor whom we already knew as well as several other pow wow friends, both old and new from over the years.
I would like to publically thank Chippa Wolfe and Rolling Thunder for making this pow wow a yearly event to honor mothers and a special kudos for letting the local Boy Scout Troop collect a dollar for parking for their troop.
For those of you who have never attended this pow wow and might consider coming next year, come! While it is a contest pow wow it is also a friendly, well run event with plenty to see and do in a beautiful park, good food, clean arena, well spaced vendor booths and things for all ages to enjoy.

Hey, was that you at his booth with him?! I bought 1 of his CD's yesterday! Been meaning to buy 1 for the last couple of pow wows but finally picked up Warrior Flutes yesterday.
I was the woman in the purple shirt who asked him why he cut his beautiful hair. Had my tall blonde daughter that has short hair with me.
I wish you could have seen me trying to get Rainbows attention! My daughter had gone for a coke when Rainbow came out of the arena and I recongised her, but a large group of people walked between us as I was trying to get to her. Now having 1 short person trying to see where another short person has gone through a crowd of taller people is a thing that is NOT going to happen! I finally caught Sunbursthonors attention and he saw her and stopped her until I could reach her.
Are you going to be at the Nov. pow wow at Stone Mountian?

                Hi Ginger,
Hows it going? We may have passed each other at a couple of pow wows over the years.
You've got a half inch in height on me and Rainbow is even shorter than I am so it was pretty funny trying to catch up with her.

I missed you then, because we didn't get there until around 1 on Sunday.
The Nov. event is from the 2nd. - the 7th and Tommy usually comes to that one too. Hope you can make it and we can meet. I like to meet people in person that I talk to on line when I can.

I haven't been to any of the Larwenceville pow wows yet. Too busy with regular life stuff to get to go.

Of Course, why wouldn't we? Not all the Ga. Natives left on the Trail of Tears and many that did found their way back home a few years later. You should come down to see how a Southern Pow Wow is done.
