I beaded the top of my dress. But when I was in my thirtees. Took me three years.
Now a days its harder for me to see all the beads. Two of my daughters helped me with my leggins. One each did a leggin. And I beaded my mocs. Which only has some rosettes on them with the trim.

My daughters now do all the beading in my family. I wish I could but my arthritis is very bad and I can't hold needles any longer.

    Blessing to you all. :)

My daughters will bead my grandbaby's stuff until they are old enough to bead their own dresses.
And two of my grandson's already are beading their own belts and moccasins. I am very proud of them. Blessings to you all. :)

My mother designed my dress and my grandmother beaded it (the yoke and legging/mocs) I did the accessories. And I am slowly getting my guy friends to help me out with beading my fan handle and feather work.... ;)

I have two fully beaded Northern Traditional dresses that I made and beaded by myself. Wish I would have had help though!! But I'm such a perfectionist that I have to do things myself, if something doesn't turn out just right, I take it out and do it over. I couldn't do that with someone elses work. I beaded all accessories too. Am in process of designing my granddaughters dress for when she joins into the circle next year, she is currently 2. :)

My mom and I bead and sew all our stuff. I beaded a top when I was 17yrs., it took me like 7 mos. Not that I have a baby it takes me a lot longer to get projects done.

Ok, here is one for ya!

I have decided that I would use canvas for the leggings, and I would like to know the following:

                            1) How much of an edge or gap do I leave around the peremeter for zipper etc?

2)Would it be feasible to applique the main design first,...

My son will be graduating from High School next year and I want to do something special for him to wear when he graduates - I have seen the beaded graduation caps with Eagle featers attached - and some trim beaded on the gowns - can anyone else give me ideas of what to make sure is beaded before graduation...
