what is everone going to do this month of October?

I hope to finish soccer season and football season, then take it easy till novmeber I guess.

and work on my spelling too!

I have to work on my spelling too, it is why my boyfriend wants me to come to Pow Wows.com so I will type more. I am working hard to learn, so I can get a job! There is a Pow wow in Nashville TN that we might go to, I hope. But it is an hour or more drive, we will have to ride with others.
I am sewing some new clothes too, I have some leather, and going to make a jacket.

It's that one, NAIA, or whatever. I think it has been held at a place called 4 corners (?) I am going to that one. I have been before and it is a pretty good dance. Anyways, I am working and going to school. Trying to get my degree so I can make real money.LOL I am going to Kinder next weekend, a NAC meeting for Tooky and Ponchos baby on the 12th(in Stroud), then to Tenn. and then my girl starts playing basketball on the 26. She also takes her ACT that weekend, so we will be at home. I have my sewing and beading going so I can be all new by Gathering. Staying local after Tennesee until Prairie Island Winter. Am trying hard (for the first time in my life lol) to drop some weight so I can dance. I am getting older and it is harder to be graceful with extra baggage, than it was when I was younger. I have lost 8 lbs and need to lose about 72 more. LOL At least 20 and I will be alot healthier and feel better about my dancing. I practice dancing at home and can barely finish 2 songs, much less round dance. I lost my dad at the beginning of summer and my legs really got weak by not dancing every weekend. Now I am ready to go again, and my legs are in total denial. LOL Hopefully by next summer I will see you all at pow wows and will be able to dance the way I know I can. That's the fall and winter season plans for me! See ya'll at Kinder!

The powwow is @ 4 corners park in Lavergne( a little southeast 0f Nashville) @ Percy Priest Lake. It's the weekend of Oct. 18-20.
It's about my favorite one in this area every year.So, in Oct. I'll be going there, sanding & painting my old ski boat,going to another powwow in Linden, Tn, & trying not to miss my husband while he's in Alaska, fishing, trying to make a living.

Hey......did I read that right? Ready for new orders? ha ha ha Those of you out there, Luvs does excellent ribbonwork. She just finished a new set for me and I am breakin it out at Kinder! I am so excited. She is the best according to my mom and my mom is pretty darn picky. She designs my dresses and Luvs does the strips. Just a little p.r. ha ha Nashville is going to be good, too. I was going there before they changed the dates on Kinder. All of the top dancers are heading towards LA.!!!!

Trying to push your Uncle towards Kinder but you know how he is!!!! Heard that the last ones in California are also that weekend, uncle thinks the big dogs will go there. So we are patiently waiting for him to decide. I think our boy wants to hit Kinder to dance but Scissortail asked him to go to Nashville so will let him decide where he is headed.

Will let you know when I get a definate answer. Thanks again for the kind word. My order pad is waiting........

Is anyone going to the contest powwow at Denver next weekend. Its being held at the coliseum, just like Denver March Powwow. John Emhoolah is helping to coordinate the celebration.

going to Pow Wow

Going to the Pow Wow at Canyon Lake, Texas the seveth annual Pow Wow, looking forward to that this weekend, My Usdi will be dancing as usual love to watch him dance LOL. We rented a cabin but I wanted to stay in the great outdoors but he decided on the cabin with a view of the lake so hey got to love it right?:D :Angel2 :) ;)

My neice was head lady down there last year. It was a real nice little pow wow. The scenery was great! It was fun and we had a good time. I will probably check it out next year since we are going to Kinder this weekend.

Well I know this is a little off the subject but maybe you can help me. Do you know of anything going on on the week starting November 9th to the end of November because we will be traveling in the Colorado and New Mexico area at the time? I am looking forward to going back to Acoma Pueblo(Sky City) been wanting to go back there for years and looks like I am finally going to make it, I met someone who lives up there, he is an elder and he just stayed on my head for all these years because he began to speak his native languge and I did not understand him but only because I am not of that tribe although I have a learned a few words recently. I am also in the process of learning my native tougue although it is a very hard language to learn. I have some distant relatives who are of the Apache People but I must follow my heart to the Aztec people. I know that they migrated north and began to marry into the tribes in texas and new Mexico at the time but I have not been able to get anything on paper because there was so little documentation done at that time. Oops sorry went off again anyway glad to have found this place this is great!!!!!!!

hard to beleive

this is were we all were last year at this time, only difference for me is no football, jsut soccer.

and waiting for november pow wows, stone mtn and CYC and after t-day head to rock hill.

this year i'm takign boys to scarrowinds(carrowinds for halloween)

has anyone else seen a difference in their year?
